Hello again and welcome! The website is continuing to evolve and this week we have made a few minor updates with a new fun offer. Firstly, portrait art has been added (check out the adorable sketches created by Madyson) along with new bios on the About page. Next, our new fun offer is the Free Swag section created for all our Platypus fans when you sign up for our newsletter! (those already signed up will be getting emails with the PDF's soon) Each month we will introduce new swag sent directly to your inbox as a thank you for being part of our journey. This month’s swag is two PDF coloring pages of our cute platypus friend, and we will be adding new pages (along with other cool stuff) each month, so sign up now and don't miss out on the whole collection. The next big step for us is to get our Gallery pages up and running (shooting for this weekend) which will coincide with our next big (shhhh! not so secret) project. Lastly, Jack, our resident fact finder will be sending out his own newsletter with Platypi facts, between our regular updates, so keep an eye out. Speaking of our friend the Platypus, we have been toying with the idea of giving him/her a name and we will be sending out a poll real soon. What a First Week!
What a week! It has been exciting getting the word out about Platypus on a Pillow and watching the audience grow. Passing out stickers to friends, family and coworkers has garnered some great feedback and we were paid a huge compliment being compared to Gudetama. Wow! All in all, a great start for our new website! So, what's next? Well, stay tuned for some exciting website updates coming soon featuring a new about page, art galleries for our collaborators, the roll out of some new friends to keep the platypus company and a new Kickstarter campaign. The end of the year should prove to be an exciting one!
Here We Go! (again)
We are finally on the move again and Monday was the official launch of Platypus on a Pillow! (round 2) The genesis of this site was a small sketch of a cute platypus sleeping on a flower pillow by my amazing middle child. That sketch was the inspiration for a website we would use to collaborate on creative projects and as a side hustle vehicle for learning about e-commerce. Well…...that was a few months ago and not everything goes according to plan, but you learn the lessons, adjust the focus and find a new path. So here we go (again) and we are excited! Please sign up for the News and spread the word, I will post to the blog at least once a week and the website is just getting started! Feedback is welcome.

Wow for a first time project we seem to be moving fast! We are very excited about the results so far and look forward to getting to the next level. We will be adding more content to the site over the next couple of weeks with some big (for us) announcements, so check back often. Once again thank you to everyone, and here’s to 100%!!!
We Did It!! Kickstarter Launch!
We launched the Kickstarter campaign and it was nerve wracking. I spent so much time talking about this project, to friends and family, that I am sure they were sick of hearing about it. The delay between talk and launch was so long I am sure they thought this would be like every other project I have rambled on about in the past. The long talk and lack of action built up pressure for success and in the past, it is what would have held me back, kept me from acting. This time however succeed or fail I have moved forward and put myself out there finally living up to the advice I have always given my kids.
